Dr. Lombardi: What do you enjoy most about being a pediatric dentist?

"Childhood exuberance is a sure bet to make me smile! I want to return the favor by helping kids keep their smiles healthy, beautiful, and broad."

One of Washington's own
Dr. Lombardi was born and raised in the Yakima Valley and joined Dr. Liu and Eastside Pediatric Dental Group in 1996. She is a 1992 graduate of the University of Washington, School of Dentistry and completed a general practice residency through the University of Washington Medical Center in 1993. Dr. Lombardi discovered her love of working with children while on her residency rotation. Through a joint program offered by the University of Washington and Seattle Children's Hospital, Dr. Lombardi received her certificate in Pediatric Dentistry as well as a Master of Science in Dentistry (MSD). After spending 11 years at the University of Washington, Dr. Lombardi is proud that she is a "triple dawg"—three degrees from the purple and gold. Dr. Lombardi completed her board certification and became a Diplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry in 2003. She recertified her board certification in 2013.

A belief in the highest standard of care for kids
Every day, Dr. Lombardi strives to broaden and deepen her knowledge base and skills to better serve your kids. She does this by staying active in a variety of professional organizations: the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, American Board of Pediatric Dentistry, American Dental Association, Washington State Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, Washington State Dental Association, Seattle King County Dental Society, and the Northwest Pediatric Dental Study Club. Over the years, she's held leadership roles in these organizations, recently serving as Treasurer for the Washington State Academy of Pediatric Dentistry's Foundation. She faithfully attends continuing education conferences throughout the year and believes that serving her patients with the utmost care and skill presents a lifelong opportunity to always grow and learn.

Considered one of Seattle's best
As a testament to her dedication, Dr. Lombardi has been selected as one of the areas "Top Dentists" by Seattle Magazine in 2006 and 2008, and by Seattle Metropolitan Magazine from 2009-2014. She has recently agreed to serve a three year term as an examiner for the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry Oral Clinical Exams.

Active, fun family time
Dr. Lombardi is married and lives in the Issaquah area with her husband and two boys. When she isn't working, she is often driving the chauffer/carpool circuit. Hoping to raise well rounded children, her sons are enthusiastic Boy Scouts, as well as active in their schools and church. Depending on the season, she can also be found cheering them on from the sidelines of football, lacrosse, and basketball games. She enjoys the relationships that develop from involvement in her kids' activities, and has taken on various roles of room mom, team mom, and troop mom for seven of the last eight years. She certainly understands the challenges of managing a busy family, and uses that life experience when working with her patients and their parents. When her family slows down enough to spend an evening at home, they love watching The Big Bang Theory, playing Hearts, and over-loving their 3 year old labradoodle, the only other girl in the house.
